We find that our events are best suited for ages 12 and older. Younger kids might find the riddles and clues too difficult. We encourage parents to look at our 2022 and 2023 Haunt to get a sense of what to expect. We NEVER use any profanity in any of our materials.
No! The treasure items will never be buried, but cleverly hidden.
The Clue Locations and Treasure Locations will never be found in dangerous areas. If you ever feel unsafe, you are probably in the wrong spot. With that being said, the Ohio Treasure Haunt holds no responsibility for any injuries as a result of playing the game.

The Treasure Items, including Golden Ghosts, are merely tokens. Winners will receive a check for the prize amount.
Accessibility is something we keep in mind when planning our events, however we can not guarantee all of the clue locations and treasure locations will be entirely handicap accessible. We highly recommend having someone on your team who can walk upstairs and bend down if needed.
Yes! Teams are highly encouraged. However, only the registered individual who registered can be the one to claim the prize.
We have not specified in our official rules how many people can play on a team. If we find that it is being taken advantage of, we may add a mechanism to limit team participants in future haunts.
